Comment 1 for bug 380021

I have had the same experience with qsstv-5.3c-8 on 9.04 and 9.10. The transmitting scan for scottie 1 is 2-3 seconds. This version is very flawed, I cannot think what is keeping it from working. The program does open from Synaptic program manager, but FAILS TO transmit and recieve sstv. Very choppy transmit, and doesnt seem to recieve sstv and get extreme slants. I have exchange sstv picture with people using this program using Mandriva, with thier photo having just a slight slant. Which isnt a big problem.

Overall Ubuntu is a great program, but I sure if this could be repaired more folks would
join the fun! Thanks to all of you. steve
