Hi Christian, thanks for the broken down header change!
We can stick to this bug and just add a qemu task to it.

I'll take a look at doing this in cosmic soon (before things close/freeze more) and if working fine there we can take a look at making this available in Bionic's qemu as well.
If I hit anything that makes me feel unsure on the backport I'll reach out to you.
