I am on Lucid () and it still happens. While attempting to create thumbnails it gives this error:

This is from Ubuntu Synaptic install, versions: 1:2.1.0+dfsg-0ubuntu3 (lucid)

I hope you can make heads or tails out of it, becuz I cant.
