No, at least I'm not working on it anymore. If you want to continue with this, I'd suggest:
- pick a python2.7 which is still in use (e.g. the one from xenial)
- do a test rebuild of main on all architectures
- analyze the build failures
- fix the build failures, mostly by backporting patches to the failing packages.
- be prepared to fix packages in universe, where people report regressions.
