Thank you for taking the time to report this bug. :)

What method were you using to install gdesklets? Was it via Applications> Accessories> Add/Remove Programs, System> Administration> Synaptic Package Manager, or did you download it from a website? It might not be important, but if it was from a synaptic source it could be a synaptic bug.
