@David: thanks for this. I just realized there has been a recent release of pulseaudio (0.9.22), on which your modified packages are based. It could be that this new release fixes these problems, and if we try your pulseaudio packages directly we may think the solution lies in the wrong patchset. Is there a PPA with the unmodified pulseaudio 0.9.22 packages somewhere for us to test as well?
