I was able to resolve it by adding this line "options snd-hda-intel model=hp-dv5 enable_msi=1" in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf. I am using HP Pavilion dv3t notebook.

I noticed the error occurs when a USB device is plugged in while I'm playing video or audio.
