Lengthier version: given that most, if not all, of the bug's subscribers except qwerty800 seem not to experience a sound problem any more, that qwerty800's bug is now filed separately, that the present bug contains contradictory information (suggesting that in fact different bugs have affected different people), and that the original reporter's problem is solved, it would make sense to close this bug and continue with separate bug reports for those who still have an issue. These people (if any) should probably leave a comment with a link to their new report.
