It means you should try the workaround suggested in bug 946232
Specifically: "For those of you who are missing a speaker port, edit /usr/share/pulseaudio/alsa-mixer/paths/analog-output-speaker.conf and comment out all lines that start with "required-any"."

If the workaround is successful, this bug is a duplicate of that one.
