In Debian never distributed 1.3.2 series, this is the risk of distributing snapshots
in a whatever time point during the development cycle.
I would suggest you to 'dget' the latest proftpd sourceversion in squeeze pool
and build it on your ubuntu. If you also follow security.debian.org, you
will get an acceptable result, at least not worse than currenty in stable.
