nothing with automatix is official so when you stated you use only official repos that was not true. My sources.list file should fix this if not i recommend fixing your install anything that automatix installed or removed along with removing automatix. I talked to the maintainer that worked on this bug and it is fixed. This fix was released a while back and has not been a problem since. Let me know what happens if you replace your /etc/apt/sources.list with the one i gave you. Oh and with the backports there is no such thing in dapper yet. no apps or fixes have been uploaded to them.
