Can you call system-config-printer via "System" -> "Administration" -> "Printing", then right-click your printer's icon, choose "Properties" and in the window which pops up then choose "Job Options". There set the "Fit to Page" option. Does this solve the problem?

Can you also attach the document with which you have the problem and tell how you printed it?
