sudo killall polkitd; sudo /usr/lib/policykit-1/polkitd
And reproduce the problem. Then, copy/paste the output of the above command here.

Also, what's the output of
apt-cache policy libpolkit-gobject-1-0 libpolkit-gtk-1-0
