Binary package hint: nautilus
Running 6.06 with latest upgrade at 2006-05-25 2:35AM PDT.
nautilus 2.14.1-0ubuntu9
When I plug in USB HDD, with 3 partitions in there, 2 of them that have labels mount fine, but 1 drive that has no label fails to mount.
Here are some screenshots:
http://www.mizna.jp/ubuntu/sc1.jpg (What happens if I plug it in)
http://www.mizna.jp/ubuntu/sc2.jpg (And error dialog I get when I double-click to try mounting)
The HDD works fine on WinXP Home SP2.

It's due to the pretty stange label on /dev/sda1:
volume.label = 'BODY>
</HT' (string)
I'll fix pmount-hal to replace slashes in the device label with another character (underscore, perhaps). In the meantime, you can change the label of the first partition (under Windows, perhaps, since there is unfortunately no tool in Linux to change the label of a FAT partition). |
