Comment 70 for bug 540801

I don't see much of a performance difference when I do the fix in comment 2, but then again I didn't time it like some people did. The only problem I see with the fix is that the Kubuntu logo becomes off center for some reason. Instead of the logo being dead-on center, its now off to the left side of the screen.

Running proprietary nvidia driver from nvidia.com, btw.
