"splash" is more appropriate than "quiet" (unfortunately) because we would delay framebuffer takeover to the same event (primary DRM startup) as Plymouth does.
I would also like to know why our Plymouth doesn't render on SimpleDRM even when it's available (tested in bug 1965303). I don't really know if Fedora does that better or they just failed to notice the bug. And I don't have much time left for more tangents here.
