If the KDE team wants to do that update, that's fine for me as representative of the general Ubuntu release team, so approved.
However, I think it gets really tight for beta -- usually uploading, building, and sorting through the test regressions takes more than a day (and often enough the packages are stuck in proposed for weeks even). That does not matter that much as it's fine to keep the packages in -proposed during the beta freeze, I just want to alert you to the fact.
