Bug Description
On Ubuntu Jaunty final release with Pidgin version 2.5.5-1ubuntu8 the Buddy List taskbar icon (below in the bottom GNOME panel), shows on all virtual desktops. While the window is only actually visible on a single virtual desktop.
This is weird and broken behaviour. The taskbar button for the Buddy List should only show on the virtual desktop where the actual window is present. And NOT on other virtual desktops.
I'm suspecting this broken behaviour was explicitly patched in.
Although I'm not entirely sure, the following patch might be the culprit:
11_buddy_
Please revert Pidgin to normal behaviour... The windows manager should manage the windows... not the application itself!

Looking at this on the 29th here, with the latest updates, the issue does not appear to be happening anymore. I've tested leaving the buddy list open and navigating between desktops; the taskbar button stays on the desktop that it's open on.
