Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

When Pidgin is opened I currently have it set to also display the New Mail window if my account have new mail. In cases where the Buddy List is open at the same time that the New Mail window is opened, when the Buddy List window is closed followed by the Mail Window being closed ... the New Mail windows quits the whole program instead of allowing pidgin to remain running in the background. Based on expected functionality if the Buddy List when closed simply minimizes to the notification area, the new mail window should do the same.

I can confirm this bug. It isn't consistent though. Sometimes when I close the mail dialogue pidgin quits too, and other times it remains running.

This also happens with the Fedora 10 version of Pidgin. But as Thelasko says, it's very inconsistent.
