I'm in the same situation as #27: upgraded phpldapadmin to 1.2.0.5-1ubuntu1.10.04.1, removed /etc/phpldapadmin/config.php, ran dpkg-reconfigure phpldapadmin and got the same result.
My LDAP server was upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10, could that be part of the problem? The phpldapadmin FAQ suggests that it might be due to the fact that it needs read access to the subschema's. Has there been a change in the LDAP ACLs when upgrading to Lucid?
