When installing the package php-amqp, the amqp.ini ends up in /etc/php/mods-available instead of the expected path /etc/php/7.0/mods-available (the first directory is created during the installation).
This results in two warnings during installation:
WARNING: Module amqp ini file doesn't exist under /etc/php/7.0/mods-available
WARNING: Module amqp ini file doesn't exist under /etc/php/7.0/mods-available
After this the extension does not work of course. After moving the file to the correct location and executing "phpenmod amqp" it works as expected.
The debug information is very very irrelevant but I could not find a way to report a bug without using the silly 'ubuntu-bug' application.
