Well, I don't really grok this bug, but since I have a testing box,
Perl is an important package to me, and you have made it so easy to
try out, I figured I could try to make myself useful.

So, I downloaded your scripts, made some tiny modifications (put
'perl' ahead of the perl script calls), and this is the output:
