After selecting configuration profile "off" once for HDMI-out, it disappears forever

Bug Description

In the PulseAudio Volume control dialog, I turned the HDMI output off, by selecting the profile "Off" in the "Configuration" tab.
As expected, the HDMI output did not show up in the list of "Output devices" anymore.

Unfortunately, when re-setting the Configuration back to its original profile: "Digital Stereo (HDMI) Output" - it still did not re-appear as output device.

When logging in as another user, the HDMI device is listed, but not as the user I've disabled it *once* with.

As it is user-specific, I've removed both: "~/.pulse" and "~/.pulse-cookie", logged out and back in - and now the HDMI output appear again.
Still, I don't think that this is the intended behavior :)
