Comment 4 for bug 34974

Umm, clearly something is being lost in the translation. At the time I reported the bug, I was helping out the Ubuntu project by testing a prereleased version of the milestone LTS version 6.04 (which became 6.06). While I clearly didn't document the bug very well at the time (by not providing the exact version I was using at the time - it probably was a daily build), I thought that I was contributing to the project by providing some usability feedback BEFORE the release became final. Clearly the bug was not one requiring support as such (I know what the message intended), but rather to hope that someone might change the text to make it a little easier on new users (trying to migrate from Windows).

This is the first I have heard that launchpad is not for reporting bugs in "test versions". Aren't people already madly reporting on issues with Intrepid?

I imagine (hope) that this "bug" is fixed (particularly as we now tend to use a live CD), so I am confident it can be closed.
