Bug Description
Binary package hint: partman-lvm
i'm using the ubuntu 7.04 (final) alternate install cd for the i386 platform.
My problem is as follows:
When I'm creating a new logical volumen and I hit <enter> to create the new LV the screen just stays blue with that grey line at the bottom and nothing happens even after 10 minutes of waiting.
If I reboot then and the installation starts again I can see the newly created LV in the LVM configuration but I can't use it as a partition to install Ubuntu.
I don't think it's a harddisk failure or something like that, because I tried exactly the same with the debian etch installer cd and it worked fine on the same pc.

Hi@ll,
same problem here.
As far as i figured out the system doesn't freeze it just waits for something to happen. On the console (Ctrl-Alt-F4) i get the following timeout:
Rendevous with udev timed out for <lv>; stat failed: No such file or directory
The error is repeated for every LV in my system. After every LVs have been "timed out" the installer continues. This "feeze" happens after every change that i do to my LVM configuration.
