The error message in the log is:

dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libpam-modules_1.1.1-2ubuntu5.3_i386.deb (--unpack):
 cannot access archive: No such file or directory

This is not a bug in the pam package. As the preceeding automated comment suggests, please run 'sudo apt-get clean' and attempt the upgrade again.
