Comment 28 for bug 216990

I know very little about debconf so do not understand the technical issue alluded to above regarding pam and debconf.

However, I do not think it should be in the default configuration that smb passwords maybe used to login - that is a specific requirement that should not be enabled by default.

I guess that the debconf problem is that when libpam-smbpass is installed it cannot update common-auth?
