Bug Description
Binary package hint: packagekit-gnome
After using Packagekit for a while, one of the few things I miss from Synaptic is the ability to see newly included packages. This is enormously useful when using a development release of Ubuntu, because it lets you see which new stuff is available.
Packagekit should offer a way to see new stuff, either on its main window or in the update manager.

Hi,
Thanks for the bug report.
Again I am opening the empty upstream task, as this is something
that should be discussed there.
Please note that packagekit-gnome won't be a complete replacement for
synaptic, certainly at this stage. Implementing the most useful things
is obviously good though, so proposing them is a good idea.
Thanks,
James
