The debian package which contained the fix was merged in ubuntu quite a while back as I could see from ubuntu changelogs and fixes were applied wrt gcc 4.6 c.f.
* Merge from debian/unstable, remaining changes:
- debian/patches/ld-as-needed.patch: Rearrange order of linker arguments
to fix building with ld --as-needed
- debian/patches/os_cmd.patch:
Silence gcc4.6 warnings about unused results.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong here.
Also could you please provide a buildlog in oneiric environment here with the diff from precise applied to fix FTBFS.
