I had to manually ass "vga=791" to the "kernel" lines in the /etc/grub/menu.lst in order to make my Mandriva system booting again. So the lilo->grub converter needs to add any "vga=XXX" line in the /ect/lilo.conf to the kernel command line (line "kernel" in /boot/grub/menu.lst.
