Ok on another server I administer :

sgh@zemeckis:~$ sudo status ssh
ssh stop/waiting
sgh@zemeckis:~$ cat /var/run/sshd.pid
11889
sgh@zemeckis:~$

that is not good I guess? since I did the login over ssh.
