Romano, I would advise against using that workaround as you're essentially bypassing the gnome-session and forcing a shutdown. The safer way to shutdown is to first disable QS, then do as usual.
The more I read about this the more I think QS should be completely removed, but that is an entirely different issue (and not one I am pursuing actively).
