Yasker's experience is not the same as mine. I have no trouble in
general creating and saving files in OpenOffice with Ubuntu 9.10. The
only time I have trouble is when I try to save as a .doc document an
OpenOffice text file with notes in it -- not footnotes, but the ones one
inserts with Ctrl-alt + N.
