Selecting the all the components is easiest done using ctrl+a. The other
option is trying to select the arrow first which can be a bit hard and then
holding shift selecting the map. Somehow draging just selecting both by
putting a selection window around all the components does not work. Maybe
this should be fixed as well...

The export format does not really matter. I tried png, jpg, bmp, pdf, ps,
tiff. Maybe I forgot some. The format does not really matter.
