Openoffice freezes on load

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

OO freezes on load, after UI is partially displayed (button borders are missing). I can reproduce every time with any of OO.org components. stdout and stderr remain silent, core is not dumped.

Same here with same Ubuntu. I've been trying different ways for make it work but without success. Even removing .openoffice.org2 directory does not help.
The only command that show GUI is soffice without any parameters.

Ok, this is a bit strange. If you add -debug to command it works.
For example soffice -writer -debug.

I guess it doesn't have a debug parameter so I've tried with different words.
It works only if you pass second parameter which could be about anything???
