I get the same as beauharg , I mostly use Calc, freezing occurs sometimes when saving or accessing File or Edit menu's. sometimes it comes back, sometimes it kills my X session.
The keyboard is always locked up, so I can't get a shell to find out whats going on.
Happened again today, first time since a recent update to OpenOffice.org 2.2.0-lubuntu5 oct 3 2007.
