Cris, I tested kostas' l.odt on PPA 3.0.1 (OOO300m14 Build:9376) and it does not crash. I also tested my original from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/116750/comments/3 and that works fine as well.
