[Lucid] openjdk6 not recognized by any browser anymore

Problem like here https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sun-java6/+bug/532174 but with openjdk-6 plugin.

this works in current lucid. do you see this as well on a fresh installation or the live DVD?

Yes, I see this problem in Kubuntu 10.04 Beta 2 LiveCD as well.

Any news? Default Ubuntu JRE Engine (openjdk6) still doesn't recognized by Firefox.

I also test this issue with clear Kubuntu Lucid RC installation.

Maybe I can give some information for find a reason of this bug?

Do you have a libjavaplugin.so in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ ?
Where does the symlink point to?

No.

Also tested in Konqueror and Chromium. I think now I can replace "Firefox" to "any browser".

still works for me. please could you recheck with a daily live DVD? just to make sure that no manual changes to symlinks/alternatives are present

I download daily livedvd, but loader is corrupted and I can not boot. I can't download DVD iso every day for check fixed loader or not. I check this bug when alpha 3 is out.

I check - now it's fixed in Lucid and Maverick. libjavaplugin.so now in /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/.
