Per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates, the oneiric debdiff should be the smallest change possible to fix this package. Also, you need to target oneiric-proposed instead of oneiric in the changelog. Please resubscribe ubuntu-sponsors once a new debdiff has been attached that addresses these issues.
