rol,

Which system locale are you using? Is it non-english? You can check this by typing "locale" in a terminal.

No, It isn't necessary to change to english, you can continue using portuguese.

As is commented in this thread:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openbravo-erp/+bug/410182

The workaround is:

    sudo sed -i "s/netstat -vatn|grep LISTEN|/netstat -vtnl|/g" /etc/init.d/openbravo-erp-*
    sudo dpkg-reconfigure openbravo-erp

I' ve changed the language settings to english and I followed the instructions of this thread
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openbravo-erp/+bug/410182
but the problem still exists.
After I have written this to terminal, I get :
''
 sudo dpkg-reconfigure openbravo-erp
 * Stopping openbravo-erp-tomcat [ OK ]
 * Stopping openbravo-erp-postgresql [ OK ]
 * Starting openbravo-erp-postgresql [ OK ]
 * Starting openbravo-erp-tomcat [ OK ]
Installation is now complete! Please point your browser to http://localhost:8880/openbravo
''
Openbravo-erp is not installed anywhere in my applications
