I agree, Evan. Anyone who is running into the problem now can grab my patches, which apply to either the current or newer upstream drops. And I also agree that I've done a quick, version specific, patch without doing the extra #if defined work that should be done in the "real" code.

f there's a real need, I'll put in the extra time, otherwise we'll just wait on upstream, which has some other issues to address as well for Maverick.
