There's also these errors after entering the default 'No' several times.

 * Loading open-vm-tools modules FATAL: Module vmhgfs not found.
FATAL: Module vmsync not found.
FATAL: Module vmblock not found.
FATAL: Module vmxnet not found.

 * Starting open-vm daemon vmtoolsd [ OK ]
