The 2nd monitor is not enabled when installing 11.4. That means, that we have to install nvidia-settings and activate it. Beginners shouldn't have to do that.
There is no xorg.conf to parse or only a bogus one, so settings cannot be saved.
When activating the 2nd monitor, the app decides that it will be the primary even though the other monitor has been selected for that task. we have to re-launch nvidia-settings for things to be applied properly.
