Bug Description
Binary package hint: nvidia-settings
When choosing a display device and setting the Overscan Compensation to a specific value, it is not saved in the .nvidia-settings-rc file. As a result, this setting does not persist after a reboot. I have tried manually adding this option to .nvidia-
0/TVOverScan[
This seems to have no effect, however, and the setting is erased the next time nvidia-settings is run. I am using an LCD display via HDMI as opposed to TV-Out so this may not even be correct.
Running 10.10 with nvidia-settings 260.19.
FYI--I assume this is a dupe of bug #296418.

A year and a half later and this bug persists. I figured out that I was using the wrong option. Adding this to my .nvidia-settings-rc it seemed to fix the problem:
0/OverscanCompe nsation[ DFP-1]= 32
For whatever reason, this option is not getting written to the config file when it is changed from within the GUI.
