Using Ubuntu 12.10, fresh install:
1. Install Google Chrome (or Chromium) web browser
2. Open Chrome and let it open
3. In Nautilus double click a text or calc document to open it in LibreOffice
4. Open some other LibreOffice documents using the same method

After several tests I realized that the problem is not related to Chrome. Apparently the error occurs when too much memory is in use and many document files are open via Nautilus, with double click.
