With the updates in precise-proposed, does this mean that the suggested means of installing the nvidia-173 (or nvidia-96) packages will be via "Additional Drivers" in the near future? It sounds like manual driver installation from NVidia is already compatible with the precise xserver-xorg-core package, but I'm happy to wait a bit if there is a smoother option to be deployed soon.

Is there a way we could test out the packages in precise-proposed (is that from the milestone-propsed PPA?) and provide feedback (if that would be helpful)?
