The good news is that it does install & work (after removing nouveau) & glxgears is now comparable to my 11.10 install (see my comment #88 for comarison) & pretty much rips:
The not so good news is that you still can't get 3D with Unity:
$ /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p
OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
OpenGL renderer string: Quadro4 900 XGL/AGP/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 1.5.8 NVIDIA 96.43.23
Not software rendered: yes
Not blacklisted: yes
GLX fbconfig: yes
GLX texture from pixmap: yes
GL npot or rect textures: yes
GL vertex program: yes
GL fragment program: no
GL vertex buffer object: yes
GL framebuffer object: no
GL version is 1.4+: yes
Unity 3D supported: no
But that's not really a problem for me as I run gnome-shell instead of Unity & it's just nice to get actual video performance back! Thanks Aaron Plattner (nvidia). Now if we can get jockey updated to include 96.43.23 I'll be happy(ier).
