The nvidia-driver-XXX-server meta-package "Recommends" nvidia-settings. I think it would be better to demote nvidia-settings to a "Suggests" for these packages because of all the following:
- The Ubuntu default behavior is to install "recommended" packages.
- The -server packages are associated with TRDs, which are generally used on Tesla GPUs, which are generally used on servers.
- nvidia-settings pulls in many GUI bits which are generally not relevant to servers.
