Trying to install Mate 18.04 Beta 2 on ASUS FX530 notebook. It boots ok but when the process presents the desktop, the display is so light, you can barely see the desktop. Tried adjusting contrast/brightness with no luck. Have to hard stop and reboot the computer back to installed OS (Mate 17.10) and there is no display problem. |
UPDATE Trying to install Mate 18.04 Beta 2 on ASUS FX530 notebook. Am using LiveCD USB drive (SanDisk). Have tried both install option and try without install option and both go to a screen that is so dim, you cannot see anything well enough to use the system. Contrast/Brightness do nothing. Currently running ver 17.10 with no issues. |
