Hello I have new System 76 Oryx Pro 2 (oryp2) with same issue. Im not using Ubuntu but I was asked to still make a post here.

I am seeing the same bug using Arch Linux w/ Plasma 5

Kernel: x86_64 Linux 4.8.4-1-ARCH
NVIDIA Driver Version: 370.28

 DE: KDE5
 WM: KWin
 CPU: Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 3.5GHz
 GPU: GeForce GTX 1060
 RAM: 16GB
